We ask one of our current trainees, Calum, a few questions about his experience during the course.
Where are you from and why did you choose the Czech Republic?
I’m from Melbourne, Australia! I chose the Czech Republic as it’s far away from home and an uncommon destination for Aussies looking to teach English, as well as being anabsolutely gorgeous place right in the heart of Europe.
What do you think of Prague?
Prague is an absolutely gorgeous city. Great people, great nightlife, superb public transportation and more to see and do than I could’ve ever hoped for.
How are you finding the course so far?
I’m enjoying the course a lot so far. It’s keeping me on my toes but it’s been super insightful and has thus far packed all the knowledge and tasks into an intense and fast-paced, but doable, package.
What has surprised you so far (either course related or Prague related)?
Prague has surprised me with how easy it is to get around!
What are your plans for after the course?
Go back home, apply for my Irish passport and come back as soon as physically possible! I eventually want to end up teaching English in China, but I can’t think of anywhere better to get some experience than in Prague.
