Our September 2026 course just graduated, and before they departed for the last time, we asked them what advice they would give to the next course.
Here’s some of what they said:
- Take it day by day and give yourself some grace.
- Do not let one bad teaching practice ruin your TEFL experience, it happens.
- Have fun! It is only four weeks, and it goes by very fast.
- Talk less and let the students do the work.
- Do not fear mistakes, yours or theirs, because they are the fastest way to improve.
- Your life gets easier as student talk time goes up and TTT goes down.
