Our final TEFL course of 2024 graduated, and before they departed for the last time, we asked them what advice they would give to the 2025 courses.
Here’s some of what they said:
- Make connections with their fellow trainees as it is easier to get through it as a team.
- Get to know your peers! It can be very daunting getting to know people but you guys are in it together and they may become some of your good friends.
- Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, they are an essential part of the learning process.
- Be patient, be kind, be enthusiastic.
- Focus on your own growth.
- The classroom is a stage. Make it engaging.
- Give it time and trust the process, the pieces will start to fit together like a puzzle and all will start to make sense eventually.
- Take it ‘one step at a time’, the concept of the course is done in a gradual way and all tasks shall go one after another the way they show up in your classroom and calendar.
- Rest! Sleep as much you can and keep your focus. Once you are done you can go to celebrate and party as hard as you can. Prague is the right place after all.
- Go into the course knowing you’re not alone and that your classmates are already your friends.
- Remember to have fun with it!
- Stay strong through the course, it’s only 4 weeks and the time goes by quickly.
- Do not compare yourself to your classmates. Each of you has a different background, and you will all develop your own unique teaching style.
- Do not hesitate to ask for help. The course instructors are experts and they are there to support you. Believe me – you can do this.

In just 4 weeks you can be teaching English abroad. TEFL Worldwide was awarded as the Top TEFL Certification Course of 2018 and 2019! Courses offered monthly.
